Exedol tab, Exedol Extra tab & Exedol Syrup

Composition:                 

-          Exedol Film coated tablet :Each Film Coated tablet contains:

Paracetamol 500 mg

-          Exedol  Extra Film coated tablet :Each Film Coated tablet contains:

Paracetamol 500 mg

Caffeine 65 mg

-          Exedol Syrup : each 5 ml syrup contains:

Paracetamol 250 mg

Indications:

To treatment ofPain and muscle pain, pain of teeth, pain of after dental surgery, nerve pain, skeletal muscle pain, rheumatic pains, menstrual pain and post-vaccination pain. It is also used to relieve pain caused by sore throat andfever and baby teething.

Contraindications:                       

It is not recommended to use this medicine for patients:

-          those who are hypersensitive to paracetamol (or paracetamol and caffeine in the case of Exedol Extra)

-          who use other drugs containing paracetamol

Precautions:

Consult the doctor in this cases:

-          suffering from diseases of the liver or kidneys

-          If symptoms still after taking this medicine

Pregnancy and Lactation:

-          Consult your doctor before using this medicine in case of pregnancy

-          Studies on humans and animals with paracetamol did not show any risk for pregnancy or fetal development

-          No risk for breast-feeding was found in the studies

-          Paracetamol penetrates the placental barrier and is excreted in breast milk but not in a clinically significant amount

-          It is not recommended to take Exedol Extra during pregnancy because caffeineincreases the possibility of spontaneous abortion as it is secreted in milk but has no toxic effects

Dosage and use:                         

-          For oral use only

-          Exedol film coated tablet and Exedol Extra film coated tablet

·         Adults and children older than 12 years old:

1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed with a maximum of 8 tablets every 24 hours and a maximum daily dose of 4000 mg

·         Children 6-11 years old:

Half to one tablet every 4-6 hours as needed Maximum 4 tablets every 24 hours, do not use more than 4 times do not repeat the dose before 4 hours and do not use more than the specified dose

-          Exedol Syrup:

·         3 months – 1 year: 2.5 ml every 4 – 6 hours

·         1 year – 6 years : 5 ml every 4 – 6 hours

-          Exedol Extra is not recommended for children under 12 years old

-          This medicine can be taken with or without food and do not take the medicine with any other product containing paracetamol

Storage:

-          Store in a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C in a dry place

-          keep out of reach of children

Exedol Extra tablets : box of 2 blisters each 12 tablets

Exedol Syrup : bottle 120 ml
